Accent Walls

Believe me, I get it. Buying a new home is expensive and trying to get it all furnished is even worse. It’s still hard to fight the urge to do some improvements. I’m the same way with all my vehicles too. I just can’t wait to do something to personalize it. It’s just something I enjoy.

Over the past year I have been building quite a bit of furniture and other things. Although I’ve saved a lot of money doing it myself instead of buying stuff, there is still a lot we need to do. My wife has done an excellent job of adding decorations to every room.

One of the easiest and most drastic changes you can make is paint. Painting a whole room or even a wall can make a huge difference. This past weekend, we had some extra paint and decided to do an accent wall in our master bedroom. Our house is currently painted Kilim Beige which is ok. We added virtual taupe to the wall behind our bed and it turned out great

It was a great addition and changed the look of our bedroom a little bit. Our future plans are to do the entire room in this color. We want to add a stone wall behind our bed eventually. But for now, doing these accent walls around the house buys us some time and allows us to be creative on a budget.
